Kensington’s growing popularity clear in James Ball Team’s recent sales

James Ball and his team are continuing their excellent track record in the tightly held suburb of Kensington, with five homes sold in the past six weeks

In the past five years, James has seen Kensington’s wide and leafy streets grow in popularity with young professionals seeking homes to raise to their families in. “Where people who lived in Paddington and Woollahra might have once looked to Randwick or Queen’s Park, buyers are discovering Kensington’s large blocks are more affordable and within range of private schools and the Eastern beaches.”

The suburb’s proximity to the city, airport and M5 has also meant people who might have previously looked in Surry Hills, Darlinghurst or Redfern are drawn to the fantastic location.

“With auction clearance rates up from 52% a year ago to 75%, the market is strengthening. I see an excellent opportunity for sellers in Kensington to take advantage of the demand for properties, with the average number of bidders at auctions more than doubled,” James commented. “There’s a lack of houses available and we hear daily from people interested in Kensington.”
