Location:

Paddington is an early Victorian suburb largely built in the late 19th century. Located 3km east of the CBD and serviced by two local government areas (City of Sydney and Municipality of Woollahra) Paddington has heritage conservation status on many of its streets and houses, making a beautiful escape and step back in time.

Services:

The main shopping centre of the suburb is along Oxford Street, a 1km long shopping strip that stretches the length of the suburb. With clothing boutiques, shoemakers, milliners, specialty shops and multiple cafes and restaurants, Oxford Street is a popular place for tourists and locals alike.

Paddington Markets have been held every Saturday since 1973 in the heritage listed Paddington United Church. The market is a great place to showcase local craftspeople, fashion designers, jewellery makers and artists – many of whom have gone on to become the city’s top designers.

Multiple pre-schools and primary schools service the area, which is also home to the University of New South Wales’ College of Fine Arts and Academy of Makeup.

Paddington has good bus links throughout and boasts numerous tennis and lawn bowls clubs as well as a library, cinemas and art galleries.
