Location:

A short 3km east of the CBD, Potts Point was named after Joseph Hyde Potts who purchased 6 ½ acres of harbour-side land then known as Woolloomooloo Hill. Encompassing part of Kings Cross, the suburb houses some of Australia’s earliest known apartment buildings alongside Georgian style mansions and Victorian terraces.

Services:

Potts Point is known to be home of more than 200 restaurants to suit every possible taste, with clothing boutiques and home ware shops along Macleay Street, the suburb is popular with residents and visitors alike. Embarkation Park provides the perfect vantage point to view the city, especially at New Year when the skyline comes alive with fireworks.

Nightclubs, bars, theatres, museums and art galleries all make Potts Point a popular suburb and, with good bus links as well as excellent rail service from Kings Cross station you are never far away from the rest of the city.
